Olympic lifts – How to do the “Snatch” and the “Clean and Jerk”!

Olympic lift are great if you are looking to improve overall strength, power and your jumping abilities. There are two different lift when we are talking about Olympic lifts:

  1. the Snatch
  2. the Clean and Jerk

It is important to realise that these two lifts are highly technical lifts and that it takes time to master them. However, once you get them in your system, you will be sorry that you did not learn them before.

Improve your mobility and speed up the process!

The number one reason that people fail to master these two amazing lifts is MOBILITY. To get into the positions you should focus increasing your mobility in the following areas:

  1. Ankles in flexion
  2. Groin
  3. Hamstring
  4. Lower and Upper spine in extension
  5. Shoulder blade (scapula) upward rotation
